Are You Using Flyers Effectively in Your Marketing?

Flyers are one of the oldest forms of advertising and are still effective today. Some printers use the terms “flyers” and “brochures” interchangeably, but generally speaking, flyers are less expensive and meant to be produced in bulk and broadly distributed.

Brochures, on the other hand, are usually printed on better stock, have higher quality graphics, more general information, and a glossy finish. Another distinction is that flyers are designed for each upcoming event, whereas you only redesign and print borchures when it’s time to update your marketing campaign.

Flyers are typically printed on regular copy paper and may be black and white or color and have simple graphics and large fonts. The idea is to get the attention of the reader and communicate just the basic facts, such as the what, when, where, why, and who of an event. You see these plastered over temporary walls and on lightposts. In many places, new flyers just get attached on top of the old ones.

Flyers sometimes get stuck under wiper blades on windshields and handed to random passersby but they can also simply be placed where interested persons can pick them up. The idea is just to make it easy for people to get the information.

Digital Printing Changed the Game

Flyers used to almost always be black on white because it was so much more expensive to print in color. Graphics were often limited to clip art, but digital printing has changed all that. The graphics file is just a digital file like any other, and is easily manipulated, so design is much cheaper and the availability of images is way beyond anything we could have imagined even ten years ago.

Make Use of Club Flyers

If you’ve ever been walking through a busy part of a city and been handed a postcard-like piece of promotional material inviting you to happy hour or telling you what band is playing at a certain club, you have received a club flyer. They are effective because they are put directly into the hand of someone who is near the location of the advertised event, which is usually happening very soon. It may be happening concurrently, later that night, or within the next week, but it is in the current event’s timeframe.

Marketing clubs this way have become quite competitive and in some cities you may end up with more than ten of them in an evening. There is no reason to limit their use to clubs and concerts, though. Any place or situation where you would like to hand someone your information could be the right event for introducing club flyers into your marketing repertoire

One way could be to try ¼ page size, which is 2 x 5 3/8 inches. This bookmark-sized flyer may well be kept as a bookmark, so be sure to include your logo and website prominently along with attractive graphics. Any time your potential customers keep your marketing material on hand, you have gotten much more out of it than if they had just read it and disposed of it, or “filed” it in a pile somewhere.

So for the effective marketing flyer printing is the main regarding thing. So the printing should be effective for the effective marketing. Your regarding post is really a full of knowledge.
